Welcome! You’re among friends at Pine Grove Community Church. We’re the young and old, the experienced Christians, the brand new Christians, and those just curious about Jesus Christ. We’re families, singles, students, kids and couples. Wherever you’ve come from, and wherever you’re at, you’re welcome to come as you are to Pine Grove! Guests are requested to fill out a welcome card at the Welcome Center where you can also receive an information packet. If you are a regular attendee of Pine Grove we would like to provide you with a mailbox. Please submit your request to the church office.

Nursery care is offered during the a.m. service in the Church Basement for infants and toddlers through age 2. Please honor the age limit. Please meet your children at the nursery area immediately following worship.

 

All children age 3-7 are encouraged to participate with Children’s Worship Children are dismissed after the Children’s Message, and can go downstairs to worship Please honor the age limit. Parents: Please meet your children downstairs, after worship.

CHURCH FAMILY

 

I would like to thank my Pine Grove family for the many thoughts and prayers sent up on my behalf, and that of my family. These past few weeks have been very tough, then losing a friend and a Grandparent in the same week, I wasn’t sure how I was going to deal with it all I felt your comfort and prayers every step of the way My family and I are truly blessed by being in this wonderful family With much love, Rebekah, Rob and Jordyn Gerwig

 

Carol Tubergen will undergo shoulder replacement surgery tomorrow at Blodgett Hospital She expects to be in-patient for two to three days.

 

Gloria Hoonhorst is scheduled for cataract surgery on Wednesday

Junior High FOCUS group will meet again on Saturday, December 12 This will be the Christmas Celebration There will be more information to come.

Gift Tag Project:  This year we are doing two different things. We will have lists of items needed for our local food pantries to choose from. You do not need to get everything on the list. These lists will be available until today. The items will be split equally between Helping Hands and Love, INC. We will also have a few families from Alpha Family Center to buy gifts forThese gift tags will be available until today also to pick from. The donated items and the gifts with tags need to be at church no later than next Sunday. When you bring them in, please place them underneath the mail boxes in the foyer of the churchThank you for your help in stocking the shelves at the food pantries and buying gifts for families that are in need.

Women’s Ministry:  Will meet again on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.

 

Grant Christian School will offer a CHRISTMAS CELBERATION for the whole community on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 6-8 p.m. They will have a live nativity, Christmas carolers, jingle-belled horse pulled wagon rides, tree sales, lights, music, hot chocolate & goodies, and kid crafts. Start inviting friends and family now!

*Messiah Concert*   Next Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate its 20th year, the Newaygo County Community Choir will be performing Handel’s Messiah at the Dogwood Auditorium in Fremont Our very own Helen DeJager and Arlene Nesselroad will be singing Don’t Miss it Refreshments to follow.

 

Howard City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

-Special Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 11th at 6:30 PM at the Howard City Depot
-Remember a loved one or pay tribute to someone living with a crystal angel ornament.
Ornaments cost $15 each and the name of each individual remembered will be announced at the ceremony and the ornament will be engraved with the loved one's name on it and will be presented to the family.  
-A live nativity will be presented by Bethel Lutheran Church
-Coffee, Hot Cocoa and cookies will be donated by Charlene's Cafe.
-Your gift will celebrate the life of loved ones during the holiday season and help the Friends of Reynolds Township Library and Still Waters Ministry Center to provide services and programs for your family, friends and neighbors.

Spaghetti Dinner & 50/50 Raffle

Will be held on Saturday, December 12th from 4-7 p.m.. at the Coal Community Center (4662 N. Bailey Rd. in Coral)

Cost:  $6 for 13 yrs old and up
           $4 for 4 - 12 yr olds
           Free for anyone 3 yrs. old and under
All proceeds will go to Still Waters Ministry Center.

 

Our Church Christmas Program for this year is scheduled for the morning service of December 13, 2009 It will be a worship service of the Word and Music that celebrates the Birth of Christ. 

 

The senior lunch for December will be held on December 30.
