Welcome and Announcements
*Songs of Praise: “Bless His Holy Name” #58
“He Is
Exalted” #36
“God of Grace and God
of Glory” #435:1-4
*I
LOVE YOU, LORD
Leader: O God, You are my God;
Earnestly, I seek You.
I have seen You
in the sanctuary
And beheld Your
power and Your glory.
All: Because Your love
is better than life,
My lips will glorify You.
I will praise You
as long as I live,
And in Your
name I will lift up my hands.
Leader: On my bed I
remember You;
I think of You
through the watches of the night.
Because You
are my help,
I sing in the shadow of Your wings.
All: I Love You, O Lord, my strength.
Leader: The Lord is my Rock, My Fortress, and
my Deliverer.
All: I Love You, O Lord, my strength.
Leader: My God is my Rock, in whom I take
refuge.
All: I Love You, O Lord, my strength.
Leader: He is my shield and the horn of my
salvation - my stronghold.
All: I Love You, O Lord, my strength.
Leader: One thing God has spoken,
Two thing have I heard;
That You, O God, are strong,
And that
You, O God, are loving.
All: O God, You are my God;
Earnestly I seek You.
I have seen You
in the sanctuary
And behold Your
power and Your glory.
Leader: The
Lord Lives! Praise be to my Rock!
Exalted be God our Savior!

Preschool to 1st Grade Sunday School will now be held in the Children's
Worship room in the basement of the church. The children do not need to be
picked up when service is over unless they are not staying for Sunday School. The kids will have a bathroom break, refreshments
and singing in between Children's Worship and Sunday School.

Pastoral needs, please contact Pastor Steve or your district Elder. For prayer
chain needs, please email your requests to flint@riverview.net

The Adult Choir is planning on singing during the
Easter Sunday service. We will have rehearsals on Sunday March 22 and March 29,
at 11:15, after the morning service. Please try to attend the rehearsals and
help us celebrate our Lord’s Resurrection.
Monday Night Volleyball - will take place in the Family Life
Center this Monday, March 23 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., and every other Monday Night
thereafter. Everyone is welcome! Good exercise, great fun! If you have any
questions, contact DeeAnn Norton at 231-937-6261.
Baby Grand Piano – The Council is soliciting funds
to restore a used Baby Grand piano that was recently donated to the church by
one of our members. It was owned by the donor’s family since it was purchased
new in the early 1900s for her grandmother on her 16th birthday,
then passed on to the donor’s mother, and the donor has now given it to the
church on behalf of the family. Because of its age, the piano needs to be
restored mechanically, and needs to be refinished. It is a quality brand piano,
and a professional piano technician has estimated that it can be restored
mechanically for about $6,000 which will make it serviceable for another fifty
to sixty years. A professional refinisher has offered to refinish it for
$1,500. That makes the total cost of restoration about $7,500, and $3,000 has
already been received toward that amount. If you would like more information or
would like to contribute to this project, you are encouraged to contact Beth Syperda, Assistant Treasurer, or place your contribution in
the collection designated for the Piano Fund. The goal is to have the funds in hand or committed by the end of June so the restoration
can be completed by the time services resume in the church building in
September.

p.m., for those desiring to profess their faith or join the church or just
wanting to know more about it. Contact Pastor Bill for
necessary materials. If these times are unworkable for you, please
contact Pastor Bill to discuss other arrangements.
Youth Ministry Seminar: Are you involved in or concerned about the effectiveness of
youth ministry in our church? Classis Grand Rapids North is sponsoring a
seminar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 at Mayfair CRC, to encourage and assist
the churches in their youth ministry. Professor Darwin Glassford
of Calvin Seminary will lead a discussion on understanding youth culture, which
is similar to looking through a kaleidoscope because youth culture is always
changing. Understanding the cultural context and lives of young people is
challenging on several levels. We must strive to address these challenges in a
constructive manner. Elders, youth leaders, and parents are especially
encouraged to attend this free seminar. Please RSVP to Pastor Steve to
assure sufficient materials are prepared.
Directories – Please use the contact directory
you received recently for up-to-date address and telephone number information.
The addresses and phone numbers in the pictorial directory were accurate at the
time that directory was printed or individual pages were added, but that
information changes too frequently to publish a new page in the directory each
time there is a change.
A revised contact directory will be printed in January each year
with the most current address and telephone number information, and you are
encouraged to use that for contacting our members and friends.
Summer is coming! The council has decided that the evening services this
summer will again be held in the tent. We have noted that evening
attendance has declined a bit each year for the last few years. Whether you have attended those services or not, we would
love to hear your ideas on changes that might enhance the evening services. Please
submit any ideas, in writing, to a member of the council or one of the
pastors. We will seriously consider any ideas offered. Thank you.
Spring
is here! It’s time again to order flowers to adorn the sanctuary on
Easter Sunday. You may designate your flower in “memory of” or in “honor of”.
Please pick up your flower after the Easter morning service. A sign up sheet is
at the Welcome Center.
A Defibrillator has been purchased for the church
with the donations received earlier and is now ready for use. We are looking
for volunteers to be trained in how to use it and to operate it when needed;
the cost of the training will be paid by the church. If you would like to be
one of the volunteers or would like to know more about it, you are encouraged
to contact Pastor Bill or the Church Office.

Prayer is the expression of a human
heart in
conversation with God. The more natural the prayer, the more real He becomes.
Think what we could accomplish if there were more of us praying! Come join us
in the prayer room downstairs every Sunday morning at 8:45 or
whenever you can come. Feel free to walk in anytime and leave when you
need to. Please call Joan Tanis (231-652-5254) or
Pastor Steve (231-652-7121) with your prayer requests.
All building use must be scheduled with the church
secretary, so we can avoid building use conflicts. Thank you.
Are you interested in the best seat in the house? See the sound
crew for details.
Cancellations: When we have to cancel a worship
service, notice will be posted on both channels 8 and 13 on TV. We will also send notice via the email prayer chain.
