DECLARING OUR FAITH
Psalm 1
Blessed is the man
Who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
Or stand in the way of sinners
Or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of
water,
Which yields its fruit
in season
And whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff that the wind blows
away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the
judgment,
Nor sinners in the
assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the
righteous,
But the way of the wicked shall perish.

SERVICE OF THE WORD
* Song of Preparation: “Knowing You”
All I once held dear, built my
life upon, all this world reveres and wars to own,
All I once thought gain I have counted loss, spent and worthless now compared to
this.
Refrain: Knowing you,
Jesus, knowing you, there is no greater thing. You’re
my all,
Now my heart’s desire is to know you more, to be found in
you, and known as yours.
To possess by faith what I could not earn, all surpassing gift of
righteousness. (Refrain)
Oh, to know the pow’r of your risen life and to know
you in your sufferings,
To become like you in your death, my Lord, so with you to
live and never die. (Refrain)
