WORSHIP NOTES
Welcome! You’re among
friends at Pine Grove Community Church. We’re the
young and old, the experienced Christians, the brand new Christians, and those
just curious about Jesus Christ. We’re families,
singles, students, kids and couples. Wherever you’ve
come from, and wherever you’re at, you’re welcome to come as you are to Pine
Grove! Please stay for a cup of coffee or lemonade following worship.
Guests are invited to fill out a pew card and drop it in the
offering plate or at the Welcome Center in the lobby when you stop for an
information packet. If you are a regular attendee of Pine Grove
we would like to provide you with a mailbox and / or a name tag. Please submit
your request to the church office. God bless you and your family.
Nursery
care is offered during the a.m. service in the Church Basement for infants and
toddlers through age 2. Please honor the age limit. Please meet your children
at the nursery area immediately following worship.
Children
age 3 to 6 are encouraged to participate with Children’s Worship. Children
are dismissed after the Children’s Message, and can go downstairs to worship.
Please honor the age limit. Parents: Please meet your children
downstairs, after worship.
All
songs can be found in the Celebration Hymnal, unless
otherwise specified; and reprinted with permission by CCLI #649460.
CHURCH FAMILY
Pine Grove expresses condolences to
Dick & Gayle Glass regarding the death of Dick’s brother Walter, last week.
Ken Meyer has been diagnosed with prostate
cancer. We are
thankful the doctor believes it is fully contained. Ken will be scheduled for
robotic removal in late December or early January.
Adam Kamp, age 9, has epilepsy. He has gone 2 years without a seizure! Praise God
for that! The last couple of weeks Adam has been
experiencing some issues that may be associated with his epilepsy. Recently
Adam has undergone a series of tests. The results are not back yet. The Kamp's will go to MSU in early December to talk with Adams
Neurologist and learn of the results of his tests. Please pray that the tests
will be helpful to the doctor and that Adam will be treated successfully.
Praise God that so far, Adam has lead a very normal life compared to some kids
with his condition! A
personal note from Adam: I would sure like to be involved in
sports, especially wrestling! Would you please pray that I am given permission
by the doctor to play this December?
Glenn Engelsman
and family would like to thank everyone
at Pine Grove for their love, prayers, cards, emails, expressions of concerns,
meals and all the other support we received during Carol’s illness and
death.
Thank you to everyone that
took time to serve coffee to our congregation throughout 2008. The 2009 Coffee
Schedule will be distributed to your mailboxes soon.
Thank you to everyone who helped the Gems with the Operation Christmas Child
Shoeboxes. We were able to fill twenty-two shoeboxes.
The Gems would like to thank everyone who has donated delicious snacks
for us to eat. We love you! We also thank those who faithfully
cut and donate the Spartan UPC labels to us, as it helps fund our
program. Check out the Pineline article in the
December issue regarding wonderful things happening at Gems.
As we continue to give thanks - the Cadets would like to thank
everyone that donates their returnable cans and bottles to help fund the Cadet
Club here at Pine Grove. Your continued donations are and will be greatly
appreciated.
