Welcome! You’re among friends at Pine Grove Community Church. We’re the young and old, the experienced Christians, the brand new Christians, and those just curious about Jesus Christ. Please honor the age limit. Parents: please bring your children to the Children’s Worship room in the church basement prior to the service, and pick them up at the same location after the service. Please enter through the lower level of the church building.

Mary Hasted underwent surgery Wednesday morning at Butterworth.  We pray everything went well, and she is recovering well.

 

Wayne & Cheryl Hubers will celebrate 50 years of marriage on Wednesday.  We pray the Lord continues to bless this marriage, and give them many more years together.

 

Dear Friends at Pine Grove Church, thank you for your care for us during my illness.  For the many cards, visits, meals you provided, and the prayer quilt.  Thank you Pastor Bill and Sandy for your prayers and calls.  We will always remember,  Nell and Bob Nelson

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY – In the event of a tornado watch or warning or a severe thunderstorm warning for Newaygo or Montcalm County, no service will be held. In the event of a severe thunderstorm watch, the service will be held, and weather conditions will be closely monitored.

 

Please be aware of where you are parking. No parking on the shoulders of M-82 or Beech Ave! Also, handicap spaces need to be open for those that need it. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

 

Coffee after the morning service will be in the Family Life Center.

 

We have installed a hearing loop in the tent. People with a T-Coil in their hearing aid will be able to use this. We also have a headset that can be used.

This morning’s offering will be for Pine Grove Summer Worship.  This evening services offering will be for Youth Unlimited.

 

Next week’s offerings will be received for Pine Grove Ministries and the Family Life Center Debt Reduction Fund in the morning. Due to Father’s Day there will be no evening service next week.

Pastor Bill was appointed by Classis Grand Rapids North to attend synod, which is meeting in Palos Heights, Illinois this year.  He will be home late this week.  Please address pastoral concerns to your district elder or deacon.

 

Parents please remind your children that the landscaping is for everyone to enjoy. Please do not pick the flowers or play in them as a lot of work goes into maintaining these areas.

Sports Camp Volunteers Needed!   We need many people, young and old to help with Sports Camp.  There is something for everyone!  Please stop at the sign up table by the Family Life Center after the service to sign up.  We need your help!!  Questions?  Ask Jackie Veenstra.

Are you available for one or more Sunday mornings this summer to help open the tent and prepare it for worship?  This involves arriving at about 8:45 and helping to raise the sides of the tent and wipe the chairs.  Four to six individuals are needed for each Sunday.  If you are able to help out, please sign up on the schedule in the lobby of the Family Life Center.

Today we will be honoring our 2010 graduates. As these students come to a new chapter in their lives, will you help support, encourage and pray for them as they continue living for Jesus?

 

We have a Prayer Team that meets in the Prayer Room in the Family Life Center during the morning service.  They are willing to pray for anything that is weighing on your heart.  If you have a request, there is a prayer sheet in the bulletin that you can write your request on and place it in the collection plate for the first offering.  The Team is also available to you should you desire to have someone pray with you personally.  Please meet them at the Prayer Room after the first offering if that is your need.

 

We need you! Please locate the "Prayer Partner" sign up board located in the F.L.C. today after the service. We need your prayers more today than ever. Will you please sign up today next to one of our students name and commit to praying him/her throughout the summer months? Let’s show these wonderful students that we love, care for and support them.

Golfers – You’re invited to join a small group of golfers for a golf scramble on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. at Birchwood Golf Course which is 5 miles east of Howard City at Church Street and Masters Road.  Come whenever you can, a scramble allows everyone to participate at their own level.

Please join us on Sunday, July 4 at 6:00 p.m. as we welcome Mr. Jim Worthing to the tent.  Jim is a recording artist, songwriter as well as a producer.  He is in his 29th year of professional singing with five solo CD's.  Before going out on his own, Jim sang lead with the Cumberland Boys.  He also sang with Opryland's Gospel Quartet in Nashville, TN.  It is an honor for us to have Jim here at Pine Grove as part of our Summer Concert Series.

 

Children’s Worship invites you to join us in a fun, exciting service project.  Between today and Sunday July 4th, we will be gathering supplies and raising funds to send special care packages to the 1073rd Maintenance Co.  They are a National Guard Unit from Greenville, MI., currently deployed in Iraq.  Our goal is 225 packages.  Here are ways you can help us say “Thank You” to our soldiers.

            - Contribute care package supplies from the list below.  Items can be places in                            the Family Life Center Room with the Banks of Thanks Donation sign                                         anytime thru July 4.

            - Sign up any family member(s) or friends who are currently serving our country.                                      We will need the full name with rank, unit, name and an APO number or mailing                                    address.  We will also be sending care packages to these military people.

It’s time once again to prepare for the GEMS/Cadets tent sale. It will take place on Friday and Saturday, July 23rd and 24th. Please bring your donations to the basement of the Family Life Center.  Please no exercise equipment, analog TV’s, or computer systems that are incomplete or broken.  These things don’t usually sell, and can be costly to dispose of.  Also, no donations will be taken the week of the sale.  Please contact Tom Slendebrock at 231-937-6455 with any questions.

 

The Cadets continue to accept donations of bottles and cans to raise money for our boys to attend the International Cadet Camporee.  Please drop off your returnables in the basement of the Family Life Center.  Thank you for your support.
