Instrumental Prelude
Welcome
* Call to Worship: “He Is Here” (Sing Twice)
He is here, hallelujah! He
is here, amen!
He is here, holy, holy; I
will bless His name again.
He
is here, listen closely;
Hear Him calling out your
name.
He is here; you can touch
Him.
You will never be the same.
* Opening Prayer and Mutual
Greeting
Songs of Praise: “Great Is the Lord”
Great is the Lord, He is
holy and just;
By His power
we trust in His love.
Great is the Lord, He is
faithful and true;
By His mercy
He proves He is love.
Great is the Lord and
worthy of glory!
Great is the Lord and
worthy of praise!
Great is the Lord!
Now lift up your voice, now
lift up your voice:
Great is the Lord! Great is
the Lord!
Great is the Lord, He is
holy and just;
By His power
we trust in His love.
Great is the Lord, He is
faithful and true;
By His mercy
He proves He is love.
Great is the Lord and
worthy of glory!
Great is the Lord and
worthy of praise!
Great is the Lord!
Now lift up your voice, now
lift up your voice:
Great is the Lord! Great is
the Lord!
Great are You, Lord, and
worthy of glory!
Great are You, Lord, and
worthy of praise!
Great are You, Lord!
I
lift up my voice, I lift up my voice:
Great are You, Lord! Great
are You, Lord!
“How Great Thou Art”
O Lord, my God, when I in
awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy
hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the
universe displayed.
Refrain: Then sings my
soul, my Savior God, to Thee;
How great Thou art! How great Thou
art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to
Thee;
How great Thou art! How great Thou
art!
When through the woods and
forest glades I wander
And
hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty
mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel
the gentle breeze; Refrain.
And when I think that God,
His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce
can take it in;
That on the cross, my
burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take
away my sin. Refrain
When Christ shall come with
shout of acclamation
And
take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble
adoration
And there proclaim: my God,
how great Thou art! Refrain

Ministry of Music: “Proclaim”……………………………………………………
* Song of Preparation: “I Stand in Awe” Sing
Twice
You are beautiful beyond
description,
Too marvelous for words;
Too wonderful for
comprehension,
Like nothing ever seen or
heard.
Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom?
Who can fathom the depth of
Your love?
You are beautiful beyond
description,
majesty
enthroned above.
And I
stand, I stand in awe of You,
I stand,
I stand in awe of You;
Holy God, to whom all praise is due,
I stand
in awe of You.
Scripture: 1
Chronicles 29:10 - 20
10 David
praised the Lord in
the presence of the whole assembly, saying,
“Praise be to you, O Lord,
God of our father Israel,
from
everlasting to everlasting.
11 Yours, O Lord,
is the greatness and the power
and
the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for
everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, O Lord,
is the kingdom;
you
are exalted as head over all.
12 Wealth and honor come from you;
you
are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength
and power
to
exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and
praise your glorious name.
14 “But
who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously
as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from
your hand. 15 We are aliens and strangers in
your sight, as were all our forefathers. Our days on
earth are like a shadow, without hope. 16 O Lord our God, as for all this abundance
that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes
from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 17 I know, my God, that you test
the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given
willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen
with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you. 18 O Lord,
God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep this desire in the hearts of
your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you. 19 And give my son Solomon the
wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, requirements
and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I
have provided.”
20 Then David said to
the whole assembly, “Praise the Lord your
God.” So they all praised the Lord,
the God of their fathers; they bowed low and fell prostrate before the Lordand the king.
Contemporary Testimony
49. Rest and leisure are
gifts from God
that
relax us and set us free
to
discover and to explore.
But
we confess
that often
our addiction to busyness
allows
our tools and toys to invade our rest
and
that an internet world with its temptations
distorts
our leisure.
Reminding each other that
our
Maker rested and gave us rest,
we
seek to rest more trustingly
and
to entertain ourselves more simply.
50. Grateful for advances
in
science and technology,
we
participate in their development,
fostering
care for creation
and
respect for the gift of life.
We welcome discoveries that
prevent or cure diseases
and
that help support healthy lives.
We respect embryonic life,
approaching
each new discovery,
whether
of science or of medical technique,
with
careful thought,
seeking
the will of God.
Text: 13 Now,
our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.
Sermon: “Living
in the Temple”
Applicatory Prayer
* Hymn Response: “Immortal, Invisible, God
Only Wise”
Immortal, invisible, God
only wise,
in
light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
most
blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
almighty,
victorious, your great name we praise.
Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
nor
wanting nor wasting, you rule day and night;
your
justice like mountains high soaring above,
your
clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.
* Benediction
* Doxology: “Immortal,
Invisible, God Only Wise”
Life-giving Creator of both
great and small,
of
all life the maker, the true life of all;
we
blossom, then wither like leaves on the tree,
but
you are forever, who was and will be.
We worship before you,
great Father of light,
while
angels adore you, all veiling their sight;
our
praises we render, O Father, to you,
whom
only the splendor of light hides from view.

BEN UTECHT…His
name may sound familiar, but not in Christian music. Formerly a starting tight end
for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis
Colts, this Super Bowl winning player is known for his faith both on and off
the field. Full
of passion, depth, and an insight to the struggles of faith and life, his songs
provoke and honesty and sensitivity that tap directly into the heartstrings of
our relationship to Christ. Ben is a fresh new wordsmith,
musician and singer, from an unlikely arena. Pine Grove is excited to
welcome him on Sunday, July 25th for the second concert in the Summer
Concert Series.

“Prayer can do anything God
can do. That’s
true because the one power in prayer is the power of God. What’s more, prayer can reach
anywhere God can reach. And God is everywhere, so His
power can reach to every corner of the earth through our prayers.” From Love to Pray, by Alvin Vander Griend. Come
join us in the Prayer Room in the Family Life Center every Sunday morning at
8:45 or whenever you can come. Feel free to walk in anytime
and leave when you need to. Please call Cheryl Hubers, 231-937-4895, or Joan Tanis,
231-652-5254, with your prayer requests.
